Welcome to my book review blog. I am Jessie, a 40 something Southern Ontarian (I'd be more specific but I tend to update these things once every 5 years and my age is usually out of date, so by keeping it in the decade it can be more accurate).
I'm a happily married mother to two cats and two humans, and am currently working as an admin for an environmental consulting company. Thrilling, I know.
I love to read, mostly through audiobooks or on my iPhone. I have a Kobo but I never really got into using it.
I especially love Young Adult novels (now that there's more than just V.C. Andrews and Sweet Valley High to choose from). I've been reading a lot of dystopian lately, but I'm pretty game for anything in the YA arena.
Currently, most of my reading is to my two children: Munchie (5, f) and Biggie (2, m) as I really want to foster a love of reading in them. I will be reviewing children's books here now and including comments from the kids when I can get them.
My favourite authors currently are John Green, Ernest Cline, Ann Aguirre, Kristen Britain, Tamora Pierce, and Suzanne Collins.
My favourite book is The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery.
I love Disney, and playing with any kind of fibre (knitting, sewing, spinning, weaving, all up my alley).
I'm a Mother, crafter, cosplayer, and geek extraordinaire.
If I'm not reading or playing on Goodreads, you can find me volunteering for Librivox.org, creating free public domain audiobooks.
I love collecting hard copy books (paperback or Hard Cover), especially if they've got pretty covers. I tend to read ebooks more often though due to convenience.
My reviews can also be found on Goodreads, NetGalley, and Indigo.
If you'd like me to read a book and give an honest review, please feel free to message me through this blog or on my Goodreads account.
